International Games Week Berlin
International Games Week Berlin is the leading cross-industry communication and networking platform for games business, development and culture in Europe. Held over seven days, International Games Week Berlin will combine multiple events for industry representatives and game enthusiasts alike to share their knowledge concerning the greatest tools, technology and best practices involved with producing great gaming experiences. In previous years Berlin has played host to upwards of 12000 developers, publishers, investors and representatives of public institutions. This year promises to bigger than ever, creating a high concentration of some of the industry’s greatest minds.
International Games Week Berlin will take place 18th-24th April.
As part of Berlin’s International Games Week, GameSparks will be attending Quo Vadis, the pinnacle of the week’s schedule. Quo Vadis, translated as “Where are you going” from it’s original Latin language, is a platform for debate and collaboration on the development of the games industry as a whole. This event has established itself to become one of the most important international game developers conferences in Germany and perhaps also rest of Europe. Held in Berlin since 2007, Quo Vadis has grown each year, with over 3,000 visitors attending to take part in a broad range of panel discussions, presentations and workshops.
Quo Vadis will take place at the Station Berlin, 18th-20th April.
Gamayo celebrates the hotbed of gaming talent residing in God’s own country of Yorkshire! Designed for all kinds of game makers, Gamayo brings developers of all shapes and sizes together, facilitating collaboration, knowledge sharing and mutual support to ensure the games industry continues to expand and grow at the monumental speed it is today. Gamayo#10 will be a chance for local game developers to mingle and get to know one another, as well as an opportunity to show off their latest games to other mutual enthusiasts.
Gamayo#10 will take place in Shooters Sports Bar, Leeds, 21st April.
Digital Dragons is one of the biggest B2B events dedicated to the digital entertainment sector in East-Central Europe. Whilst helping to promote the industry, Digital Dragons continues to support the technological development of the Małopolska Region, boosting entrepreneurship, innovation and new technologies. In addition to educational and insightful speakers slots, panel discussions and tool demonstrations, Digital Dragons will also recognise some of the greatest talents in the area, by rewarding many industry members for the contributions to the sector.
Digital Dragons will take place in Kraków, Poland on the 16th-17th May.
Live Game Operations & Cross Platform Solutions Workshop
In association with close partners Marmalade and TIGA, GameSparks is bringing a Live Game Operations and Cross Platform Solutions Workshop to Leamington Spa, one of the top game development hubs of the United Kingdom. With talks from local talent such as Steve Stopps, Andrew Wafer and Alex Darby, technical demonstrations from both GameSparks and Marmalade experts and added support from Warwickshire District Council, this event is a must for developers looking to learn more about gaming tools, technology, and the best practices that will not only optimize developing games but rejuvenate those post-launch.
