The GameSparks platform is a cloud-based solution for games developers which allows them to quickly configure server-side game functionality and integrate it into their games saving them time and money.  The business of games has changed a lot in recent times placing new strains on developers. The business models and how games make money has shifted towards freemium and free-to-play (F2P).  The games business, itself, is much more a service business than a product business. Today, games studios need to not only master game design and development – they must also become experts at running games as a service (GaaS), behavioral economics, retailing, psychology, data science and analytics.  GameSparks exists to help developers through the provision of a turnkey backend solution that provides them with a rich set of capabilities including:

  • A library of social and monetization mechanics to improve retention and revenues
  • Player management and merchandising
  • Game state management and dynamic content management
  • Cross platform multiplayer support
  • Cloud code, cloud data and cloud storage
  • Analytics and reporting
  • Integration with other 3rd party solutions
  • Infinite scalability

The platform is now ready to launch and will be unveiled at Europe’s leading games event, Gamescom, from August 21 – 25.

‘We have been hard at work for what seems like an age’, said Gabriel Page, CTO of GameSparks who leads the development team based in York, England.  ‘So far it has performed fantastically with our first few clients all launching games over the coming days. Its an exciting time for all of us and thankfully the feedback so far from the many companies we are working with has been excellent.’

GameSparks is exhibiting on the UKie Stand in Hall 04.2 Stand # A019 – B018.
